Still Here

And still not knittin' alot. I did finish the felted bag, but I haven't put the pieces together yet. Puttering around with some other unfinshed stuff, but not making progress of any significance. I've been doing more embroidery than anything else lately I think. I've got to get some pictures-if I can find my camera. Most days I don't even feel like turning the computer on after we get home. I mostly sit and watch Little Miss Ball of Energy. I don't remember ever, at any point in my life, having half that much energy.

What Is It??

I agree with the Tot. It doesn't look like much......yet!

The i-cord handles are going to take FOREVER! 4 feet of i-cord. I was supposed to have all that and the tabs and the roses done and put together before felting the bag. I should have read ahead in the instructions. Yeah, well, I couldn't wait to see how it felted. I am thrilled with how easy it was! Blocking-not as much, but still, I am looking forward to making some more of these and I hope I have enough hand-dyed in some of my other colors.

Looky, looky!

I found a project that knits up fast as lightning! It helps that it's done on US10.5's. Also, I'd like to point out that I have never kept any of my hand-dyed for myself. This may not be the case after this project. This is the first time I've knitted anything with my own hand-dyed and I'm really enjoying watching the colors unwind from the ball. This wool will felt really well too, which is what I needed.

This is the Felted Rose Bag from Creative Knitting's January '06 issue. I'm planning (pretty much) on going by the pattern. Except for maybe not putting the little rosettes across the top. Anyway, I haven't read that far ahead in the pattern yet, so we'll cross that bridge when we get to it, right?

There was also a little machine embroidery on the side. (my kntting doesn't mind-it's used to regular intervals of neglect and abandonment)
